So...Week 4 of 9 is at a mid-point. My life is getting into that groove that it needs to get into, job-wise. I've come up with a pretty good way of managing my time and getting the videos done, which is nice. I still have a wicked late night on Thursdays, but I'm very glad that I don't have a wicked late night on Friday like I did last summer.
Married life is still good. Our apartment as of right now is pretty messy, but this weekend will see it get cleaned up again (hopefully). Other than that, nothing really new to report.
The Dark Knight is going to be freaking sweet. I get to see it in IMAX this Saturday.
I saw the final on-disc setlist for
Rock Band 2 today on IGN's website and I've gotta say, I'm extremely impressed by the variety and awesomeness of it. Among my favorites from scanning down the list are:
AFI: "Girl's Not Grey"
Avenged Sevenfold: "Almost Easy"
Bon Jovi: "Livin' On A Prayer"
Disturbed: "Down With The Sickness"
Jimmy Eat World: "The Middle"
Linkin Park: "One Step Closer"
Red Hot Chili Peppers: "Give It Away"
Rise Against: "Give It All"
Silversun Pickups: "Lazy Eye"
My feet hurt right now because I just played Safari for the first time since Week 1...so I'm hurtin' right now.
This weekend:
The Dark Knight
Next Weekend: Red Sox vs. Yankees!!!
Weekend after: Liz, Dad, and I are hiking Mt. Monadnock
Weekend after: Liz's grandparents 60th (? I think ?) anniversary in Way-The-Heck-Up-North, New Hampshire
So...my schedule is pretty packed as of right now. I thought that going into this summer that I was going to have more free weekends to hang out with the staff, but I'm quickly realizing that that's not going to happen.
I've been a part in a skit that some resource members have been a part of since last week and it's been really cool. Especially today's runthrough of it. We got such an awesome response out of the kids at its "peak" of emotion and whatnot and it's really cool to see their reactions after finishing it. The skit is a dramatic pantomime to Lifehouse's song, "Everything". It's based off of a skit that one of our unit leaders found on YouTube...which can be found
here.
I'm pretty sure I hit all the high-points that I needed to hit...so I'm going to stop typing in just a minute so you can get on with your life.
Please be praying for the staff here at Grotonwood, as well as at Oceanwood (OH!***), and the campers at both camps.
Peace, God bless
Scotty
***: My sister got a freaking tattoo...WHAT?! I think I'm more upset that she got one before me most of all. Jerkface.
